For over 45 years Community Resource Project, Inc. (CRP) Energy and Weatherization Program has provided housing improvements that increase a home’s energy efficiency through various state, federal, and other funded programs.

Weatherization works to help our community become energy efficient by educating and providing quality weatherization services, one home at a time.

Services CRP Offers

Weatherization is the installation of energy conservation efforts which includes infiltration and non-infiltration measures. Our goal is to reduce energy costs while improving energy efficiency and ensuring health and safety for low-income families, particularly the elderly, people with disabilities, and families with young children.

Weatherization measures may include:

  • Weather-stripping, caulking doors and windows
  • Testing, repairing, or replacement* of refrigerators, heating and/or cooling systems, and gas cooking appliance repair
  • Insulating walls, ceilings, floors and attics
  • Installing low-flow shower heads
  • Replacing compact fluorescent lights
  • Duct repair and replacement

Installation of these measures help improve the comfort of your home. Without these weatherization measures, homes lose energy which make the heating/cooling units work harder to keep your home temperature comfortable, resulting in wasted energy and increased utility costs.

Additional services of CRP Energy Efficiency and Weatherization programs include Utility  Payment program (HEAP), Low Income Weatherization Program, the Lead Paint Hazard Abatement Program, Dishwasher & Clothes Washer replacement, Solar Water Heating, and Solar Panel installations.

For specific information on this service, please call our office and ask to speak to one of our Energy Representatives for more information.
